Good Grief

As sometimes happens, things get overlooked on the calendar. Today, a dispossessory answer needed to be filed in a county 2+ hours away from where I am. One of the attorneys caught it and needed someone to get over there. I said I’d go.

I left at 2:45. At 4:15, I was over 50 miles from the courthouse I needed to be at. I called to let him know. Along the way I thought we should just email the answer to an attorney in the city and have him file it for us. When I called in, that is exactly what had happened. The attorney figured I would not make it in time.

The miracle of modern technology, the frustration of a law practice.

It’s been a long day. I’m ready for the debates.
