There are schemers in the world who do not know God. Well, they know Him, but they have convinced themselves he is myth. They have set their ways again Him. They plot and try to drag believers into their plots. But it is all in vain.
1 Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”
4 He who sits in the heavens laughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.
5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,
6 “As for me, I have set my King
on Zion, my holy hill.”
God wins every time. Everything that appears to be a set back and every thing that seems to affirm he is not real or does not care is all part of His plan. He gives them all the rope they need and he laughs at them. Like Babel before, so much of what the world does to prove we are our own gods will quickly fade away while God remains forever.
The end of Psalm 2 concludes, “Blessed are all who take refuge in him.” When the world appears to have lost its mind, take refuge in God. This is all part of a master plan, only glimpses of which we see.
